Ground-and-Pound Award – Week 6: Jay Ajayi

Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi running against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6

Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi wins our Week 6 Ground-and-Pound Award after his 204 yard, 2 touchdown performance!

In our first week with our new, visually fantastic in-site polls, we still had a lot of folks preferring to vote on Twitter. With one less click to make the vote, that’s understandable. But if you didn’t vote on our site this week, look to vote here in Week 7 and be sure to share!

Congrats to Jay Ajayi for his big performance in Week 6. Ajayi is someone we’ve all known has the potential for days like this, but this is the first time we’ve actually gotten to see it.

Ajayi’s big day helped carry the Dolphins to a huge 30-15 upset over a Pittsburgh Steelers team that was being touted as one of the league’s best. I mean, coming into the game, who would’ve thought Ajayi would out-rush Le’Veon Bell by 150 yards and 2 touchdowns and have more yards from scrimmage than Bell and Antonio Brown combined?! The London native was running strong all day, as the Dolphins seem to have found their go-to man in the backfield. Take a look at the highlights below:
